WHO WE ARE
MEA NSW Australia Ltd is a Sydney-based registered charity providing practical food relief and community support to people experiencing financial hardship.
WHAT WE DO
FOOD RESCUE AND REDISTRIBUTION
We collect safe surplus, short-dated and donated food from businesses and redirect it to families and community partners instead of allowing good food to go to waste.
EMERGENCY HAMPERS
We prepare free food hampers for people facing urgent hardship, including fresh produce, pantry essentials and special-dietary items when available.
PRACTICAL WEEKLY SUPPORT
We support working families, older people, individuals experiencing homelessness and others doing it tough across Sydney.
PARTNER WITH MEA
We welcome food producers, supermarkets, wholesalers, transport providers, clubs and local businesses that want to create measurable community impact. MEA can arrange reliable collections and redistribute meaningful quantities through our community network.

Supporting Our Homeless
There is a gentleman in our area who often stops by just to say hello when he passes the shop. He spends time around Epping Park and looks after his sister as well. Whenever we have spare food from our Woolworths donations, we share bread and other essentials with them and remind them they are always welcome to ask for help if they need it.
Special Dietary Hampers
Some of our community members have special dietary needs. We prepare hampers with fresh vegetables, fruit, gluten-free, or vegetarian items when requested. One couple who recently arrived in Australia often asks for this support, and we are always happy to help.
